Samsoor Watan is proud to have co-organized the 2nd Afghanistan Local Conference of Youth (ALCOY) from August 30 to September 1, 2024. Under the umbrella of YOUNGO, the youth constituency of the UNFCCC, this virtual conference united Afghan youth to address climate challenges and contribute to global climate action.

In collaboration with partners like the Green Afghanistan Initiative, Climate and Environment Youth Initiative, and others, ALCOY 2024 focused on flood preparedness and response, a critical issue for Afghanistan. Over three days, participants explored innovative solutions through inspiring keynote speeches, interactive breakout sessions, and expert panel discussions.

The event emphasized the transformative power of education, youth leadership, and collaboration in tackling the climate crisis. It also reinforced the importance of empowering Afghan youth to become champions of climate resilience and sustainable development.
