Environmental Protection
Activism and Advocacy
Samsoor Watan mobilizes Afghan youth, local communities, and diaspora members to advocate for stronger environmental policies and enforcement. By fostering a culture of environmental stewardship across the country, we empower individuals to take active roles in protecting Afghanistan's natural resources.
In addition to local efforts, Samsoor Watan engages in global advocacy by amplifying the voices of Afghan communities on international platforms. We highlight the unique challenges posed by climate change and environmental degradation in Afghanistan, advocate for increased global support, and contribute to shaping international climate and environmental policies. Through participation in global events, partnerships with international organizations, and collaboration with regional networks, we aim to ensure Afghanistan’s environmental concerns are part of the global conversation.
Reforestation and Tree-Planting Campaigns
Addressing Afghanistan’s deforestation crisis, Samsoor Watan aims to contribute to community-driven reforestation projects. These campaigns would not only improve local ecosystems but also mitigate the impacts of climate change, such as soil erosion and desertification.
Combatting Air Pollution in Urban Areas
Given the increasing air pollution in cities like Kabul, Samsoor Watan works on public awareness campaigns and advocates for policies that promote cleaner energy, stricter vehicle emissions standards, and sustainable urban development in major cities and Afghanistan as a whole.
Environmental Education in Schools
Samsoor Watan collaborates with schools to integrate environmental education into curricula in order to instill a sense of responsibility among young Afghans to care for their natural surroundings. We also organize environmental education workshops and initiatives in schools to train the next generation of Afghans as eco-conscious citizens.
